To become a programmer say in c++ etc and similar languages, how good do you need to be a mathematics?

Hi i might study programming in university and was wondering how good should i be at mathematics? like intermediate, general, or advanced in maths.

it actually depends on the program u are askd to make.....but in most cases.....u juzz need to noe....general maths......


Mostly in C++ .....u gtta deal with....problem solvin....


only if u r really intrstd...nd think tat....u can ovrcum obstacles.....and....'think out of the box' .......go for programmin......


plzzz.....it will really turn out to b a pain in tha a** .....if u cannot undrstand tha basics nd stuff lyk tat.......

Reply:Depending on the scope of the programming you plan to write, it can range from general to advance. If you plan to be a gaming programmer then you will probably need a lot of math up to the area of trignometry. On the other hand, if you don't plan to write complex programs then you don't need to know very advance math.





But all in all, the more math you know, the better it will help you in logics and understanding of programming. So pick up as much math as you can, they will help you in the long run.
