How Many earns a junior C programmer in USA??
To get the most accurate information about working in the United States, head to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. You can access their Outlook Occupational Handbook, and specifically Computer Programmer entry here: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos110.htm
This site is also a good idea to get an overall accurate outlook of working in the U.S. as a programmer.
To answer your question specifically, this entry from the BLS OOH claims that an annual average starting salary for an applications development programmers/analyst is between $55,000 and $83,250. For a software developer, it claims an average starting salary is between $55,000 and $87,250.
For a single unmarried person, the U.S. Government takes 25% for a salary from from $30,651 to $74,200, and 28% for a salary from $74,201 to $154,800.
Do the math, and essentially, you're looking at around $41,250 to $62,820 average annual beginning salary after taxes.
Be aware, this is without state income taxes. Depending on which state you live in, will determine if you have to pay this. Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming do not have state income taxes.
I hope this helps!
